When Geoffrey Dow first read his favourite childhood stories to his daughter, he realized the book included no female characters (except Kanga — a mother). Seeing no reason his daughter shouldn’t be able to see herself in those stories, he decided to bring some diversity to the Hundred-Acre Wood, while leaving alone A.A. Milne’s humour, wit, and pathos.
